At Cálem in Porto, an English-speaking guide leads you through the port cellars for about 30 minutes. You then taste a white port and a special reserve, usually a 10-year tawny, during a 45-minute Fado show with male and female singers, Portuguese guitar, and classical guitar.
“Great introduction to Port wines and the history and process of making them. The tasting was lovely but only 2 glasses. The Fado show was good value - almost 45 mins show. My only criticism is that 2 glasses were gone way before the end of the show and it was not possible to buy more. I would suggest they give 3 glasses or allow to purchase more.”
