The first stop at the Mayan gift shop was not on the itinerary and was an obvious sales grab…as was the Mayan calendar offering on the bus. More focus on the fascinating history of the Mayan people and Chichen Itza (versus sales of tourist trinkets) would be a significant improvement. But ok overall - just plan for a long day.”
