“Check weather forecast before you book as Bordeaux gets quite a bit of rain. Bring own food and drinks. Took one and a half hours to travel to Blaye on coach which was very clean and comfortable. Guide was very informative. Spoke French and English. Visited Blaye Citadel for one hour which was very pleasant on a dry day-not too busy in September. Time at vineyard was interesting but felt a bit rushed. Wine sampled in lovely banqueting hall was of very good quality. Overall a very enjoyable experience and a nice break from the city.”
